• Vincent Price had a dog named Joe who he loved so much that he wrote a book about him. Published in 1961, “The Book of Joe” also features stories about other pets owned by the actor.

• Researchers at the University of Helsinki have concluded that some dogs experience hyperactive and impulsive behavior and inattention—-doggy ADHD.

• Simon Cowell’s dogs are named Squiddly, Diddle, Freddy, and Daisy. He recently posed with them to help raise money for a UK charity devoted to guide dogs for the blind.

• California recently enacted a law aimed at phasing out closed colony blood banks where dogs are kept in facilities while their blood is repeatedly drawn.
