Why do dogs eat grass? According to veterinarian Dr. Nicole Rous, it may be due to boredom or curiosity. She also says dogs may be searching for extra fiber in their diet, trying to soothe an upset tummy, or induce vomiting. If grass eating becomes a frequent habit, it's time to consult your veterinarian.
Speaking of doggie snacks, can dogs eat sweet potatoes? Yes, as long as they’re fully cooked and unseasoned. Sweet potatoes are loaded with fiber, antioxidants, and important vitamins and minerals, and they have become a common ingredient in commercial dog food and dog treats. But always check with your veterinarian before giving your dog any new foods, especially "people” foods.
