Lazy Dog Days (Not)
Summertime, and the livin' is easy. While many parts of the country are worried about sensitive paws on too-hot pavements, here in the Bay Area, it’s just another beautiful Friday with temps below 70 and blue skies. But whatever the weather, it’s always a good day with a furry friend by our side. Whether we’re lazing about in front of a fan or briskly trekking the trails, our dogs are just happy to be with us - and we with them.
Still, there’s no lazing around for our hard-working Bay Woof crew. As proof, just check out this month’s collection of articles from some of our regular Bay Area dog pros, plus a couple of new faces: Sara Scott, Ren Volpe, Dr. Kari DeLeeuw, S. Emerson Moffat, Alex Kuo, Michael Angelo Torres, RU Steinberg, Amy Luwis, and Dr. Julie Buzby. From practical advice about what to do when your dog freaks out to the latest on local animal issues, we’ve got you covered and then some.
Sail on, sweet Stella.

Finally, we’re sad to report that Bay Woof’s bestest office dog, Stella, crossed the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago. Our hearts are heavy but so grateful for the beautiful life she shared with publisher M Rocket for 16+ years. Sail on, dear friend.
Though it hurts to say goodbye, we know that when the joy in your heart comes from a dog, you’ll never be sad for long. Please give your own pup an extra hug in Stella’s memory and have a lovely July however you choose to spend it.
Best woofs,
-M Rocket
