Getting a new dog is an exciting time for both of you, but it can also be stressful, especially for a dog who may have experienced trauma or who is getting used to a whole new world of smells, sounds, and people.

The holiday season is upon us! This year our gatherings may be smaller than usual, but we still need to keep a careful eye on those who bring us so much joy year ‘round - our family pets.

Last November - post-Kincade fire, but before coronavirus and the whirlwind of 2020 - we found a dog in dire condition wandering the streets of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico.

Current events have stolen so much of our peace of mind that it’s hard to appreciate the steep learning curve we've all been on since the pandemic arrived.
