Put Your Pooch on a Port? Your Canine on a Cab? You Can With a Custom Dog Wine Label!

Puppy parents can celebrate their canine companions and give back to animals in need through a partnership with Bar Dog Wine and Windsor Vineyards. This year, for National Pet Month, those paw-ssionate about pups can create custom wine labels featuring photos of their favorite fur babies.

Bar Dog creator Terry Wheatley runs the Vintage Wine Estates wine company on weekdays, but weekends find her escaping to her ranch in Central California with her former world-champion professional rodeo cowboy husband and their beloved ranch dog. So when Terry dreamed up the idea of Bar Dog Wine, she was thinking about her family dog (and yours): loyal, energetic, always by your side, and larger-than-life.

Just as you celebrate your dog’s unique personality, Bar Dog Wine celebrates the authentic character of each grape varietal in every batch. Terry notes that these wines are crafted to be enjoyed every day so, whether you prefer red or white, you can tip a glass with your favorite bone-vivant right at your side.

For the love of dogs and all they bring to our lives, Bar Dog is also committed to supporting rescue shelters across North America in partnership with the PetFinder Foundation. This collaboration awards grants funded by Bar Dog Wine to shelters to help provide pet food, supplies, and veterinary treatment for dogs awaiting their forever homes. (To obtain a grant, nonprofit rescue shelters should visit the PetFinder Foundation online and submit an application; if approved, funds will be distributed directly from a $30,000 fund supported by Bar Dog sales in the U.S. and Canada).

So how do you get a wine label featuring your very own pup? Just visit the Windsor Vineyards website, upload your dog’s photo to create your custom label, then scroll down and select a wine to put your Bar Dog label on (there’s no charge for the label itself, but there is a two-bottle minimum purchase per label). With both Mothers’ and Fathers’ Days right around the corner, can you think of a better gift for that special pup parent on your list?

You know you’ve always wanted to give your dog a spot at the table without actually pulling up a chair. Now’s your chance. This National Pet Month, pour yourself another glass of Bar Dog knowing that you’re drinking well while supporting a good cause.
