Studies have shown solo piano classical arrangements reduce anxiety behavior and induce calmness in 70% of dogs in shelters or kennels and 85% of dogs in homes.
A study is currently underway at University of California San Diego to determine whether dogs can really communicate by pressing buttons that activate pre-recorded words. These “button dogs” are the subject of debate among animal behavior experts who have raised questions about what the dogs are really “saying” and whether the words mean the same thing to a dog as they do to a human. Experts also note that dogs already communicate by other means, such as body language, but humans may not be listening.

When "The Incredible Journey," featuring a Yellow Lab in a starring role, was released in 1963, the number of Labrador Retrievers registered with American veterinarians hit 2,223 per year, compared to just 452 Labs registered on average in the prior 10 years.
