  • According to a 2018 study, about 60% of Eurasian grey wolves carry small amounts of domestic dog DNA, suggesting there was cross breeding in the past.

  •  Dog historians believe Bull Terriers were first bred to have a Roman nose around World War I. Although the breed started off as white, the acceptance of colored fur began about 1942. Dog historians have referenced works of art, statues, etc., to trace some history of the breed.

  • In the early 1990s, actor David Hasselhoff had two Pomeranians named Killer and Jenny, a Terrier named Silky, a Shih Tzu named Rusty, a Cairn Terrier named Toto, and a Dachshund named Weiner.

  •  According to Embrace Pet Insurance, kennels and crates should be safe places for puppies to sleep, take naps, or stay secure when owners leave the house. If crates and kennels are used for punishment or neglect of puppies, it can lead to anger and anxiety issues.

  • New research published in the journal Psychological Science finds that dogs can exhibit jealous behaviors when they merely imagine their owner is interacting with a potential rival.
