Bay Woof’s HOLIDAY GIVING GUIDE

Many local nonprofit organizations are working hard to ease the suffering in our dog-loving communities. Please visit the links below to make a direct gift to one or more of these great groups.

Full Belly Bus

Playing “Santa Paws” on the first Wednesday of every month to human shelters with more than 700 beds takes some serious lifting! But FBB volunteers delight in delivering carloads of dog and cat food as well as supplies to San Francisco’s 400-bed Next Door Shelter, 300-bed Sanctuary Shelter, and the SF VA Downtown Clinic.

People, Animals, Love, Support (PALS)

PALS proudly provides homeless encampments and curbside communities in and around Oakland with basic veterinary services and care. They are happy to accept and distribute pet food donations as well.

Vet SOS

Vet SOS provides free veterinary care to the companion animals of homeless San Franciscans and links their human guardians with health care services. Operating since 2001, Vet SOS is a sister program to SFCCC's Street Outreach Services (SOS) program..

Rocket Dog Rescue

Rocket Dog Rescue is a volunteer based organization serving the greater Bay Area, dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned dogs from overcrowded animal shelters. During the pandemic, Rocket Dog has helped people with pet food and supplies for survival.

BAD RAP

The Keep'Em Home Project works to help families maintain their bond with their dog(s) during times of crisis. Housing shortages, financial set-backs and natural disasters are just some of the challenges that pressure our communities.

San Francisco Dog Owners Group (SFDOG)

SFDOG and community partners have launched a pet food pantry in the Mission District, and they are distributing dog and cat food to hundreds of households that are struggling financially because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS)

PAWS believes that no one should have to make the difficult choice of caring for themselves or caring for their beloved pets. We provide free comprehensive support services for pets of seniors and individuals living with disability or illness. PAWS is a division of the Shanti Project.

OutPaw Outreach

OutPaw Outreach is helping people and their pets who live on the streets of Vallejo. Providing food, supplies and compassion for the animals who are so loved by their families.
